About Us

We started in 2006 when Tabetha was told by her then Dr that seizure alert dogs were "hooey"! She set out to prove him wrong.

A prayer was answered!

Our first dog was Annie, a chocolate lab-german shorthair pointer mix.  She came into our lives from a local shelter at only six weeks old.  We know God handpicked her for Tabetha because at 7 weeks old, she alerted to her first seizure with no prompting.  Soon we trained her how to lay on Tabetha until the seizure was over, so she wouldn't get up and hurt herself.  Annie figured out on her own if she bit Tabetha when she stopped breathing it would startle her into breathing again.

Tabetha began to have fewer and fewer seizures because she began to trust Annie and was less stressed.  Annie became a therapy dog as well as a seizure alert.  She never left Tabetha's side.

With new found confidence, Tabetha was able to return to college and finish a teaching degree.  The team entered a middle school special education emotional behavioral classroom where Annie proved her worth even more.  She quickly picked up on the kiddos emotions and would often give them "therapy" when the needed it.

In the past ten years, Annie has worked with several other dogs helping train them for various duties.  We have worked with mobility assistance, emotional support and therapy dogs.  Annie is now retired, but not before training her replacement, another God handpicked little boy named Meshach.
